One Skein Unforgettable scarf

This is a super easy scarf to make, and works up really fast. It is made with one skein and a 4mm (G) crochet hook.

I did not create this pattern, someone posted it in the facebook comments in a group I'm in. I can't find that person, so please let me know if you know who they are so I can give them credit!!

This yarn is called red heart unforgettable. The colorways are in black writing on the photo. There are 4 more colorways not pictured.

springtime
capuccino
polo
petunia

You can use a larger hook if you would like, but your results will be different.

This scarf is made short way, not long way.

Chain 25,
R1: in second from hook and each st across, sc
R2: ch1, turn, sc in first st, (ch3, skip 1 stitch, sc in next) repeat to the end. There should be 11 loops.
R3: ch1, turn, sc in first st, (ch3, sc in ch 3 from prevous round) repeat across with a sc in last st

repeat R3 until you are close to the end of the skein.

attach the two ends with slip stitches. fasten off and hide the tails.

Assassins Creed Inspired Scoodie

This pattern is definitely not an original creation. I had inspiration and took elements from both of these patterns. Credit to both for their great patterns!

http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/assassins-creed-hooded-scarf

http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/yub-nub-scoodie

I used a 5mm hook and Caron One Pound in red and white

This was made for my brother, who is around six feet tall. Keep in mind when doing your original chain that the foundation row will be the front of the scarf going up around your head, so it needs to be a little longer than you would make a traditional scarf. For a 6 foot tall guy, I chained until I reached 6 feet. I prefer mine this length too, and I'm 5'8".

In white:
chain to desired length plus 2 stitches
R1-13: HDC across, ch 1, turn (some prefer the chain 2 when they turn and are using HDC, but I prefer ch 1, you can use either) This is made as a single piece and then you have the option of sewing it into an infinity scarf at the end, like I have done.
Fasten off
R14: count 60 stitches in the center of your scarf, attach at one end of this 60 and HDC 60
R15-17: ch1, turn,  HDC across (60)
R18: ch1, turn, HDC 20, (hdc, hdc, hdc decrease) repeat 5x, HDC 20 (55)
R19: ch1, turn, HDC 20, (hdc, hdc decrease) repeat 5x, HDC 20 (50)
R20: ch1, turn, HDC 20, (hdc decrease) repeat 5x, HDC 20 (45)
R21: ch1, turn, HDC 20, (hdc decrease, HDC, hdc decrease), HDC 20 (43)
R22: ch1, turn, HDC 20, HDC 3 stitches together, HDC 20 (41)
you can now either slip stitch across to close the back or wip stitch.
fasten off
To make the peak of the hood, attach your yarn to the center of your white piece, this will be 14 stitches across, so make sure to center appropriately.
R1: hdc 14
R2: ch1, turn, HDC, (HDC decrease) x6, HDC (8)
R3: ch1, turn, HDC decrease across (4)
R4: ch1, turn, HDC across (2)

fasten off

In red:
chain 62
R1: in second from hook, HDC across (60)
R2-17: ch1, turn, HDC across (60)
R18: ch1, turn, HDC 20, (hdc, hdc, hdc decrease) repeat 5x, HDC 20 (55)
R19: ch1, turn, HDC 20, (hdc, hdc decrease) repeat 5x, HDC 20 (50)
R20: ch1, turn, HDC 20, (hdc decrease) repeat 5x, HDC 20 (45)
R21: ch1, turn, HDC 20, (hdc decrease, HDC, hdc decrease), HDC 20 (43)
R22: ch1, turn, HDC 20, HDC 3 stitches together, HDC 20 (41)
you can now either slip stitch across to close the back or wip stitch.
fasten off.
To make the peak of the hood, attach your yarn to the center of your red piece, this will be 14 stitches across, so make sure to center appropriately.
R1: hdc 14
R2: ch1, turn, HDC, (HDC decrease) x6, HDC (8)
R3: ch1, turn, HDC decrease across (4)
R4: ch1, turn, HDC across (2)
fasten off

Assembly
1. place two ends of the scarf together and wip stitch together (if you prefer an infinity scarf - you can also leave it as an open scarf or sew some hand pockets on)
2. place red piece inside the white piece of the scarf
3. attach your white yarn in the center of the back of the hooded part, you will use a SC around to attach the two pieces together. SC evenly all the way around. If you attached the scarf as an infinity you will have to attach on the other side of the loop as well.
4. fasten off and hide all tails.

All done!
