Octo Pirate, Octo Ghost, and Upcoming Patterns!

This week, you get two patterns. Halloween is coming so soon, and I still had two little Octos left. I hope you have LOVED making the octo series as much as I have loved creating it. The series of OCTO HORRORS is complete, until next year! Coming soon to a blog near you... Christmas Octos! With the help of the lovely and talented Jenifer at Steampunk Garage, I have decided to name them Octo-Elves! Think reindeer, Santa, elves, and more! (please leave suggestions in the comments- perhaps I will make one or five suggestions!) Thank you for visiting and enjoy.

See the end of the post for upcoming patterns.

If you like this pattern, please share it, but link back to this blog. (kristenscrochet.blogspot.com)  You may sell completed dolls at local craft fairs, but please do not sell on Etsy or any other online forum. Do not sell this pattern, I wish for it to remain free for everyone to enjoy.

Thank you for your respect. If you love this pattern, consider a donation. A little bit goes a long way in keeping the weekly free patterns coming.

Thank you and enjoy this tutorial!Watch for text in italics and in red for special instructions!

6 inch circumference

Tentacles

In red with 4mm hook. These are different, you need to change color for one of the legs to brown.
Ch 6, sl st to form a loop.
*Ch 10, 3 hdc in each st of the chain 10.
Sc into the ch 6 loop. *
Repeat from * until you have reached 8 tentacles. They should curl on their own. Fasten off and leave long tail to sew tentacles to body.

Pirate tentacles

The tentacles for this are almost the same, but only make 7 legs of the body color. Then attach brown and make one brown leg (for the peg leg).

Pirate Eye patch

In black yarn with 3.5mm hook
When you make your slip knot, leave a few inches of tail, it will come in handy when you’re sewing.

Ch 35; Sl st 15 starting with the 3rd st from the hook. This makes a small loop. When you are finished with the eye patch, to attach it, lace the tail from the beginning through this loop and tie.

In the next st, 5 dc

Sl st through the remaining sts and fasten off. Tie onto head using the method described above. I also sewed mine to keep it in place.
